Vaughn Gittin Jr. 4th overall in the Formula D Championship and a great battle to end the season at the house of drift!!
The event went absolutely amazing. The biggest crowd Irwindale has ever seen. They filled the drag strip with parking and had to turn people away from the event. This was a sign of good things to come for the Formula D final!
JR once again set the bar for fastest speed in practice, which was 78 mph at the speed checkpoint. He was able to qualify 5th overall. His first battle placed him against Rich Rutherford in the RWD Mitsubishi Evolution. JR took care of business with ease, and was able to move on to the top 8. |

LOS ANGELES (Apr. 18) ñ Popular JDM (Japanese domestic market) racing icons Nobuteru "NOB" Taniguchi and Eiji "Tarzan" Yamada will compete as teammates in the Avondale Mazda Twin 200 Grand Am Cup race on May 13, 2006. Their ride will be the 2005 Grand American Series ST class champion car, a SpeedSource Mazda RX-8. This is the first time top JDM driving stars will team up in Grand Am making this a historical, canít miss event.
